French trade deficit and current account deficit shrank in August from July, the National Institute of Statistics said.
The trade deficit narrowed to €4.51 billion in August from a revised €5.85 billion in July. The country's exports increased to €39.81 billion from a revised €39.27 billion in July while imports fell to €44.33 billion from a revised €45.12 billion in the previous month.
Meanwhile, France's current account deficit fell to €1.47 billion in August from €4.25 billion in July, the institute said.
