Inversiones Siemel Q3 profit falls YOY

4911040 said its third-quarter normalized net income amounted to 2.42 Chilean pesos per share, a decrease of 44.6% from 4.36 pesos per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 876.1 million pesos, a decline of 44.6% from 1.58 billion pesos in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 9.2% from 35.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to 9.51 billion pesos from 4.44 billion pesos, and total operating expenses increased year over year to 9.75 billion pesos from 4.27 billion pesos.

Reported net income fell 86.3% on an annual basis to 155.6 million pesos, or 43 centavos per share, from 1.14 billion pesos, or 3.14 pesos per share.
