Atico updates resources, reserves for El Roble copper-gold mine in Colombia

An updated resource estimate outlined 119 million pounds of copper reserves at Atico Mining Corp.'s majority-owned El Roble copper-gold mine in Colombia.

The mine hosts proven and probable reserves of 1.4 million tonnes grading 3.62% copper and 2.01 g/t of gold.

Measured and indicated resources stand at 1.8 million tonnes grading 3.63% copper and 2.25 g/t of gold. Inferred resources total 23,900 tonnes grading 0.62% copper and 4.06 g/t of gold.

With mineralization still open at depth and along strike, Atico said Nov. 13 that it plans to further test the limits of the resource as it looks to further extend El Roble's mine life through drilling for additional massive sulfide deposits within the 6,600-hectare land package.

El Roble produced 16 million pounds of copper and 8,400 ounces of gold for the first three quarters, or over 80% and 85% of annual forecast production for copper and gold, respectively.
