Nomura, Development Bank of Japan to cooperate on M&A financing

Nomura Holdings Inc.'s units, Nomura Securities Co. Ltd. and Nomura Capital Investment Co. Ltd., will collaborate with government-run Development Bank of Japan Inc. in providing financing for M&A to Japanese companies.

Nomura said Jan. 9 that its units signed a memorandum of understanding with Development Bank of Japan for collaboration on M&A financing.

Through the partnership, Nomura aims to further strengthen its ability to provide funding to clients, including for cross-border M&A deals. The companies will also seek to develop new funding schemes for M&A financing.
