Subsea 7 nabs contract for Shell offshore UK project

Energy services provider Subsea 7 SA was awarded a contract by oil major Royal Dutch Shell PLC for the Shearwater Fulmar gas line re-plumb project located east of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom. The contract is valued between US$50 million and US$150 million.

Shell has tapped Subsea for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation work involving a 24-inch export line, a 14-inch rigid riser, control jumper, subsea structures and associated subsea tie-ins.

Subsea 7 intends to start offshore activities in 2019.
