Omnicom Q3 EPS up 7 cents

Omnicom Group Inc. on Oct. 17 reported third-quarter net income attributable to the company of $263.6 million, or $1.13 per share, up from $253.8 million, or $1.06 per share, in the prior-year period.

The S&P Capital IQ consensus EPS estimate for the quarter was $1.09.

Revenue for the quarter totaled $3.72 billion, a 1.9% decline from $3.79 billion in the third quarter of 2016.

Across the company's regional markets, organic growth in the third quarter as compared to the year-ago quarter was 2.1% in North America, 3.8% in the U.K., 7.8% in the Euro Markets and Other Europe and 1.4% in Asia-Pacific. Latin America decreased 5.4% and Middle East and Africa decreased 1.6%.

Operating profit for the quarter was $464.2 million, up from $453.1 million in the same period in 2016, the company said.
