Kingsgate ConsolidatedLtd. said March 30 that it has lowered its current year gold productionguidance for its Chatreemine in Thailand.
The mine is now expected to produce between 95,000 ounces and105,000 ounces, as compared with the earlierestimate of 125,000 ounces and 135,000 ounces.
According to the company, the permitting delays have constrainedaccess to various orebodies, which has put undue pressure on an ageing mining fleetand affected the mine plan.
Kingsgate anticipates that the deferred ounces from this yearwill be mined in 2017.
Meanwhile, the company expects to generate positive cash flowfrom Chatree mine in the current year.
