Ecopetrol SA said Feb. 27 that its attributable net income for the fourth quarter of 2017 stood at 3.427 trillion Colombian pesos, compared to 186 billion pesos in the prior-year quarter.
The Colombian petroleum company saw its EBITDA rise 29.1% to 5.778 trillion pesos from 4.474 trillion pesos over the period.
Total sales climbed 15.4% on an annual basis to 15.363 trillion pesos from 13.313 trillion pesos. Operating profit surged 243.8% to 5.615 trillion pesos in the fourth quarter of 2017.
Net income attributable to owners of Ecopetrol totaled 6.620 trillion pesos in 2017, compared to 1.565 trillion pesos in 2016.
As of Feb. 27, US$1 was equivalent to 2,857.80 Colombian pesos.
