"Hollywood Today LIVE!," the one-hour, syndicated entertainment news program produced by BiteSizeTV, will air its final episode April 28.

Nexstar Media Group Inc.'s decision to nix the show is part of the company's strategy to bring BiteSizeTV’s operations in line with Nexstar's commitment to local programming and content production.

"We are now evaluating other opportunities where we can create value from BiteSizeTV to generate positive results," Nexstar Media Chairman, President and CEO Perry Sook said in an April 7 statement.

Nexstar became owner of BiteSizeTV as part of its acquisition of Media General Inc. in a cash and stock deal worth about $4.6 billion.
