BoE sets 0.5% countercyclical buffer from 2017

TheBank of England's financial policy committee said March 29 that it willincrease the U.K. countercyclical buffer rate to 0.5% of risk-weighted assets,from zero percent.

Thechange will take effect March 29, 2017.
