Torchmark subsidiaries released from CMS sanctions

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services have releasedtwo Torchmark Corp. subsidiariesfrom sanctions, according to a Form 8-K filed April 11.

The Medicare Part D prescription drug plans of andFirst United American Life InsuranceCo. returned to normal marketing and enrollment status effective asof April 7, according to the filing.

The release has no impact on Torchmark's intention to the Medicare Part D business,the company said.

The companies had been under the sanctions since Aug. 1, 2015.
