ANZ buys back, cancels remaining convertible preference shares

Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. repurchased and canceled the remaining 10,683,282 convertible preference shares.

The company in November announced its plan to buy back all remaining preference shares it issued in 2009 for their face value through a resale process.
