Inpex Q2 net income slides 16% on year to ¥16.8B

Japan's Inpex Corp. reported Aug. 9 net income attributable to shareholders during the second quarter was ¥16.8 billion, or ¥11.51 per share, down 16% from the same period in 2017.

The company's operating income during the quarterly period was ¥103.9 billion, rising 19.2% from the second quarter of 2017, according to an Aug. 9 earnings release.

Total net sales were ¥202.3 billion during the second quarter, down 7.1% on the year.

Inpex reported total production of 343,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day during the second quarter.

As of Aug. 8, US$1 was equivalent to ¥110.94.
