Kenneth Gibbons retired as chairman and a director of Morrisville, Vt.-based Union Bankshares Inc. and unit Union Bank.

Shareholders elected Vice Chairman Neil Van Dyke as chairman of both companies at Union Bankshares' annual meeting May 15.

The shareholders also elected Joel Bourassa to a one-year term as a director on the Union Bankshares board.
