Axiom Mining denied prospecting license at Isabel nickel project

Axiom Mining Ltd. said Dec. 20 that its application for a prospecting license for an area adjacent to the San Jorge nickel deposit within its Isabel project in the Solomon Islands was unsuccessful. The company has a mining license for San Jorge.

The Solomon Islands Ministry of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification notified Axiom of the decision.

Axiom supplied further information and documentation for the application and expects it to be approved.

The company is seeking a judicial review of this prospecting license application and a pending application as it believes that the ministry may not have followed the correct procedure.
