Chile-based HDI Seguros SA, HDI Seguros de Garantía y Crédito SA and HDI Seguros de Vida SA appointed Karina Von Baer Jahn to serve as a director, replacing Joao Francisco Borges da Costa, according to Aug. 9 securities filings.

The new appointment will last until the companies' next shareholder meeting, at which point the entire boards of the companies will be up for renewal.
