Chinese e-commerce site JD.com Inc. said it opened a pop-up store in mid-July, featuring dozens of British brands, in partnership with trade body China-Britain Business Council.
The store, launched on the JD Worldwide cross-border e-commerce platform, sells products from several British cosmetics brands including Argentum, BarryM, Bronnley, Cowshed and Soft & Gentle. It is focusing on cosmetics for the first eight weeks of its existence.
JD.com plans to launch baby and maternal care products in September and add other products and brands later in 2017.
British skincare company Argentum decided to launch its own flagship store on JD.com after participating in the pop-up store and seeing good results, JD.com said.
