Bank of Yokohama to redeem ¥40B of securities issued by special purpose unit

Bank of YokohamaLtd. decided to redeem all preferred securities issued by Yokohama PreferredCapital Cayman Ltd., a special purpose subsidiary of the bank.

The bank said April 27 that it will redeem ¥40 billion worthof noncumulative, perpetual and preferred securities. The redemption price is ¥10million per preferred security.

The scheduled redemption date is July 25.

As of April 27, US$1 wasequivalent to ¥111.27.
