2 Kansas credit unions agree to merge

Wichita, Kan.-based Credit Union of America and Hutchinson, Kan.-based Central Kansas CU have agreed to merge, the Wichita Business Journal reported March 5.

The merger, which is subject to the approval of the members of the two credit unions, is expected to be completed in June.

Credit Union of America plans to retain Central Kansas CU's employees.

SNL data shows that as of the end of 2017, Credit Union of America had $805.4 million in assets, while Central Kansas CU had assets of $36.2 million.

SNL is owned by S&P Global Market Intelligence.
