Logitech to buy streaming software company Streamlabs

Swiss electronics company Logitech International SA agreed to acquire Streamlabs Inc., a provider of livestreaming software and tools, in a cash-and-stock transaction.

Logitech will purchase San Francisco-based Streamlabs for about $89 million in cash, plus an additional $29 million of Logitech shares subject to Streamlabs achieving specific revenue growth targets.

The transaction's completion is expected in the coming weeks, subject to customary closing conditions.

Following the deal, Streamlabs will continue providing support to its partner platforms, hardware and software services, while keeping its tools free and open, CEO Ali Moiz aid in an official blog post.

Game streamers use Streamlabs' software to engage with viewers and monetize broadcasts across platforms such as Amazon.com Inc.'s Twitch, Google LLC's YouTube, Mixer and Facebook Inc.
