Nigeria's Wema Bank names acting CEO

Wema Bank PLC Managing Director and CEO Segun Oloketuyi is retiring from his positions.

Oloketuyi's retirement is effective Sept. 30, but his terminal leave begins July 1. Effective July 1, Ademola Adebise, who serves as deputy managing director of the Nigerian lender, will take over as acting managing director and CEO, subject to the approval of Nigeria's central bank.

Oloketuyi has served as managing director and CEO of Wema Bank since June 2009. Adebise also joined the bank the same year.
