EDP Renewables secures contract to deliver 248.4 MW of onshore wind in Canada

EDP Renewables Canada Ltd. has secured a 20-year renewable energy support agreement with the Alberta Electricity System Operator for the delivery of 248.4 MW of onshore wind generation.

The electricity will be supplied by the Sharp Hills Wind Farm in Alberta, Canada, and slated to reach commercial operation in December 2019, according to a news release.

EDP Renováveis is the parent company of EDP Renewables Canada.
