Engold Mines Ltd. said Aug. 8 that it appointed Alastair Brownlow as its new CFO. Brownlow will replace Dale Reimer, who will remain with the company as a director.
Meanwhile, the British Columbia Ministry of Forests, Land and Natural Resources notified the company that exploration activities at its Lac la Hache copper-iron ore-gold property will remain suspended, as fire danger remains at a high level within the project area.
In July, extreme forest fire activity in British Columbia's Cariboo region prompted the company to halt all exploration activity at Lac La Hache.
In addition, the company reported that drillhole G17-23 intersected 18.75 meters grading 1.13% copper, 0.14 g/t of gold, 5.55 g/t of silver and 26.23% iron.
Although the geometry of the mineralization has yet to be determined, EnGold noted that this hole significantly extends the zone to 250 meters from G17-16 where drilling intersected 43.45 meters grading 1.31% copper, 0.20 g/t of gold, 4.06 g/t of silver and 31.14% iron.
