Randgold to distribute interim dividend of US$2.69 per share

Randgold Resources Ltd. said Dec. 17 that it recommended an interim dividend of US$2.69 per share, which will be the last dividend it pays before being acquired by Barrick Gold Corp.

The dividend will be paid out Jan. 11, 2019, to shareholders on record as of Dec. 28.

The same day, in line with its previous announcement, Barrick said it will distribute a fourth-quarter dividend of 7 U.S. cents per share, bringing up its annual dividend to 16 cents per share.

After the merger closes, which was approved by the Royal Court of Jersey, the new Barrick Gold will pay a quarterly dividend of 4 cents per share, starting with the first-quarter dividend paid out in April 2019.
