Starr Cos. hired Brian Bass as regional vice president forthe South Central region (Texas).

Bass will be based in the company's Dallas office, accordingto a May 2 news release. Bass previously worked at as aregional casualty executive - senior vice president, where he managed casualtybusiness for the Dallas and Houston regional territory.

Starr Cos. is the worldwide marketing name for the operatinginsurance and travel assistance companies and subsidiaries of and forthe investment business of C.V. Starr & Co. Inc. and its subsidiaries.
