Edisun Microgrids, West Hills team up to build 20 MW of rooftop solar projects

Edisun Microgrids Inc. and West Hills Construction Inc. joined forces to develop up to 20 MW of commercial and industrial rooftop solar projects, according to an Oct. 11 release.

The first installation will be a 1-MW solar array in Oxnard, Calif., financed and owned by Harry Ross Industries. Chiquita Brands International will utilize the generated power.

The project will utilize Edisun's rooftop tracking technology, dubbed PV Booster, is touted to increase energy production by 30% and enhance project economics by 20% compared to conventional fixed-tilt installations, according to release.
