Report: A+E buys equity stake in Women's Soccer League

A+E Networks acquired an equity stake in the National Women's Soccer League as part of a partnership, The Associated Press reported Feb. 2.

Financial terms of the deal were reportedly not disclosed. As part of the transaction, A+E Networks will air a game each weekend on the Lifetime Television (US).

A&E is a joint venture between Hearst Corp. and Walt Disney Co.'s Disney-ABC Television Group.
