GSAM to buy Standard & Poor's Investment Advisory Services

Goldman Sachs Asset Management LP is buying Standard & Poor's Investment Advisory Services LLC from S&P Global Market Intelligence Inc.

The companies did not disclose financial terms of the deal, which is expected to close in the first half.

As of Dec. 31, 2018, Standard & Poor's Investment Advisory Services had about $33 billion in assets under supervision across multiasset, equity and fixed-income strategies. It provides nondiscretionary investment advice worldwide across institutional subadvisory and intermediary distribution channels and manages multiasset class model portfolios using exchange-traded funds and mutual funds and equity portfolios produced using a rules-based investment process.
