China Coal Energy Co. Ltd. on Aug. 24 posted a 39.8% year-over-year growth for its net profit attributable to shareholders for the first half.
The company's net profit attributable to shareholders rose to 3.79 billion Chinese yuan, from 2.71 billion yuan a year earlier. EPS in the first half increased to 29 fen from 20 fen.
Operating revenue was up 21.3% year over year to 61.03 billion yuan from 50.32 billion yuan.
The company's earnings after deducting nonrecurring items increased 36%, reaching 3.75 billion yuan compared with 2.75 billion yuan in the same period of 2018.
As of Aug. 23, US$1 was equivalent to 7.09 Chinese yuan.
