Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV said July 3 that it repurchased 1,939,578 of its common shares on June 25-29.
The shares were bought at an average price of €20.28 per share for a total consideration of €39.3 million.
The transaction is part of the €2 billion share buyback program that the food retailer announced in November 2017.
The Dutch company repurchased 1,467,276 of its common shares on June 18-22 for a total consideration of €29.9 million.
Under the program, Ahold Delhaize has bought back a total of 51,314,290 of its common shares to date for a total consideration of €967.9 million.
