Omnicom Health Group agreed to buy BioPharm Communications,an agency that specializes in creating multichannel marketing programstargeting physicians and health care practitioners for its pharmaceutical andbiotechnology clients.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Thetransaction is expected to close in the second quarter, subject to regulatoryapproval, the company said May 5. Jeff Persinger and Daniel Egeland,co-founders of BioPharm, will continue to lead the company as president andCEO, and executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer,respectively. Certain other executives, including Chief StrategyOfficer Norm Phillips, COO Steve Carickhoff, and Head of Analytics LarsNordmann, will retain their current positions.
