Moreton defines 517.5 million-tonne coal resource for South Burnett tenement

Moreton Resources Ltd.'s MRV Tarong Basin Coal Pty. Ltd. unit defined a JORC-compliant coal resource of 517.5 million tonnes for the MLA700015 tenement within the company's South Burnett property in Queensland, Australia.

The total resource comprises 134.0 million tonnes in the measured category, 383.5 million tonnes in indicated and 6.6 million tonnes in inferred, according to a Dec. 15 release.

Moreton noted that the new estimate will allow it to optimize the mine plan for South Burnett and re-evaluate the 2015 pre-feasibility study.
