Missouri Care notifies MO HealthNet participants of mailing error

Missouri Care Inc. notified 1,223 members of Missouri's Medicaid program, MO HealthNet, that some of their personal information was mailed to an incorrect address by one of its subcontractors, O'Neil Printing.

A software programming error caused the disclosure of information, potentially including participant name, date of birth, MO HealthNet identification account number and Missouri Care member identification number. No medical or financial information was shared, according to a Missouri Department of Social Services news release.

The error affected some of Missouri Care Managed Care Program correspondence sent July 11 and July 13 and had been corrected by the subcontractor. Missouri Care discovered the issue July 20.
