Insurance technology startup Jetty announced that it closed an $11.5 million series A round of financing led by New York-based Valar Ventures, a fund backed by Peter Thiel.

Ribbit Capital, SV Angel, BoxGroup and Red Swan also participated in the round. Jetty's products, including renters insurance, are focused on solving problems consumers and landlords experience during the home rental process.
