QMS Capital Management raises $354.5M for hedge fund

Durham, N.C.-based investment management firm QMS Capital Management LP has raised approximately $354.5 million for its QMS Diversified Global Macro U.S. Fund LP.

According to an amended registration statement, QMS Capital sold equity and pooled investment fund interests to 53 investors, including one non-accredited investor. The offering is expected to last more than a year, and the date of first sale is Jan. 1, 2012.

The offering is not being made in connection with a business combination transaction, such as a merger, acquisition or exchange offer.
