Sadamatsu Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Feb. 28 was ¥6.67 per share, a decrease of 94.7% from ¥126.12 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥7.5 million, a decrease of 94.9% from ¥147.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 0.3% from 6.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 11.8% on an annual basis to ¥2.71 billion from ¥2.43 billion, and total operating expenses rose 24.0% on an annual basis to ¥2.70 billion from ¥2.18 billion.
Reported net income declined 95.2% on an annual basis to ¥7.0 million, or ¥6.22 per share, from ¥145.3 million, or ¥124.24 per share.
As of April 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.09.
