An-shin Food Services Co. Ltd. said its first-quarter normalized net income was 72 Taiwan cents per share, an increase of 33.3% from 54 cents per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$23.2 million, a gain of 33.3% from NT$17.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.2% from 1.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose year over year to NT$1.05 billion from NT$1.01 billion, and total operating expenses grew year over year to NT$1.03 billion from NT$1.01 billion.
Reported net income rose 68.1% on an annual basis to NT$25.6 million, or 79 cents per share, from NT$15.2 million, or 47 cents per share.
As of April 30, US$1 was equivalent to NT$30.64.
