EDF Trading CEO resigns, successor named

John Rittenhouse announced his decision to step down as CEO and board member of Electricité de France SA subsidiary EDF Trading Ltd. on Dec. 31.

EDF Energy Ltd. Managing Director Béatrice Bigois will replace Rittenhouse, effective Jan. 1, 2020, according to a news release. Bigois' successor will be named shortly.

Rittenhouse joined the company at its inception in 1999 as CFO and assumed the role of CEO in 2008. He will assist through the transition process during the first half of 2020.
