Nagawa Co. fiscal Q3 profit climbs 7.0% YOY

Nagawa Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥52.95 per share, an increase of 7.4% from ¥49.29 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥736.9 million, an increase of 7.0% from ¥688.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 11.5% from 10.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to ¥6.41 billion from ¥6.33 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥5.26 billion, compared with ¥5.25 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income rose 21.0% from the prior-year period to ¥737.0 million, or ¥52.96 per share, from ¥609.0 million, or ¥43.58 per share.

As of Feb. 6, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.01.
