Japanese tertiary industry activity holds steady in June

Japan's seasonally adjusted tertiary industry activity index stood at 104.9 in June, unchanged from May, when the index slipped 0.1%, data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed Aug. 10.

On a yearly basis, the original index was up 1.1% to 105.4.

Business-related services posted the biggest monthly gain in June, up 1.7%, while real estate recorded the biggest drop, down 1.0% from May.
