Agritek public accountant resigns

Agritek Holdings Inc. said Dec. 18 that its board of directors accepted the resignation of its independent registered public accountant L&L CPAs PA on Dec. 11.

The board of the U.S.-based medicinal marijuana distributor appointed M&K CPAS PLLC as its new independent registered public accountant Dec. 15.

The company said L&L's audit reports on its financial statements for the periods ended Dec. 31, 2016, and Dec. 31, 2015, did not contain adverse opinions or disclaimers but did state that there was a "substantial doubt about the company's ability to continue as a going concern."

Agritek also said that, during its two most recent fiscal years until the date of the filing Dec. 11, there were no disagreements with L&L on accounting principles or practices, financial disclosures or the company's auditing scope and procedures.
