Sunrun, Engie offer 20-year retail energy buyback program in Texas

Sunrun Inc. is expanding its home solar services in Texas by offering customers a 20-year retail energy buyback program in collaboration with Engie subsidiary ENGIE Resources LLC.

Engie's residential retail energy company, Think Energy, will serve as retail energy provider for Sunrun customers in the state. Homeowners will have an option to purchase their solar system, lease or finance it through a third party loan arranged by Sunrun, according to a June 1 release.

The solar company is now available to serve homeowners throughout Houston and surrounding areas with plans to expand to other cities in Texas in the coming months.
