IMA Financial Group acquires Dallas-based insurance brokerage

The IMA FinancialGroup Inc. has acquired Waldman Bros, a Dallas-based insurance brokerageoffering commercial insurance solutions, employee benefits and high-net-worth privateclient insurance expertise.

The acquisition combines the Waldman brand with IMA expertiseand resources to create the IMA | Waldman subsidiary, which has almost 70 employees.

As part of the acquisition, Waldman CEO Steve Waldman was appointedto the new role of president of IMA | Waldman Texas, while Rob Broz of IMA was namedIMA | Waldman president for Dallas-Fort Worth. Michael Waldman was appointed executivevice president of the IMA | Waldman Texas employee benefits division, and Todd Chanonwas named executive vice president of IMA | Waldman and COO of Signature SelectLLC Texas, an IMA | Waldman company. Chanon will oversee small-business lines andhigh-net-worth clients.

The IMA Financial Group comprises IMA Inc., TowerstoneInc., Eydent Insurance Services, CORnerstone Risk Solutions and
