Moorefield, W.Va.-based SummitCommunity Bank Inc. ($1.56 billion) on Oct. 1 completed acquisition of Monterey, Va.-based First and Citizens Bank ($121.8 million) and the latter'sparent, Highland County BanksharesInc.

First and Citizens Bank will retain its branding until the closeof business on Dec. 2. Highland Chairman Kyle Almond joins Summit Community Bank'sboard and that of its parent, SummitFinancial Group Inc.
