Launch Technologies Q4 profit climbs 83.5% YOY

4910343 said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter came to 50 Taiwan cents per share, a gain of 74.8% from 29 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$25.9 million, an increase of 83.5% from NT$14.1 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 7.9% from 5.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 16.0% year over year to NT$325.9 million from NT$280.8 million, and total operating expenses increased 8.3% on an annual basis to NT$285.9 million from NT$264.1 million.

Reported net income increased 75.5% year over year to NT$36.8 million, or 71 cents per share, from NT$21.0 million, or 42 cents per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$1.74 per share, an increase from 47 cents per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was NT$89.7 million, a rise from NT$21.9 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose 16.1% year over year to NT$1.27 billion from NT$1.10 billion, and total operating expenses rose 6.8% on an annual basis to NT$1.14 billion from NT$1.07 billion.
