Deutsche Börse AG said order-book turnover on its cash markets rose to €118.9 billion in July from €100.8 billion in the same month in 2016.
Of the total, Xetra contributed €109.1 billion, up from €91.8 billion a year ago, while Börse Frankfurt and Tradegate Exchange reported turnover of €3.5 billion and €6.3 billion, respectively, compared to €3.4 billion and €5.5 billion the previous year.
The average daily turnover on Xetra reached €5.2 billion in July, up from €4.4 million in the same month in 2016.
Broken down by asset classes, cash market turnover in equities amounted to approximately €106.1 billion, while turnover in bonds, structured products and funds were about €400 million, €1.1 billion and €100 million, respectively. Turnover in exchange-traded funds, commodities and notes stood at €11.1 billion in July.
Meanwhile, total volumes at the Eurex Bonds electronic trading platform fell to €2.9 billion in July from €4.0 billion a year earlier.
