Georgia-based Southeastern Banking Corp. resumes dividend 5 years after suspension

Darien, Ga.-based SoutheasternBanking Corp. ($403.3 million as of Dec. 31, 2015) resumed paying outquarterly dividends to shareholders during the third quarter of 2015, accordingto a letter dated April 20, 2016, to shareholders included in the company's 2015annual report.

As per SNL records, thecompany paid a dividend of 8 cents per share in September 2015. The company saidit paid dividends totaling 16 cents per share in 2015.

The company announced the suspension of its quarterly dividendin July 2010, according to SNL data.
