Italy's Recordati Industria Chimica e Farmaceutica SpA will acquire France-based Tonipharm to expand its portfolio of over-the-counter products in the French market.

Tonipharm is expected to generate about €26.5 million in sales in 2018 mainly by a line of products sold under the Ginkor brand.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The transaction is expected to close by year-end.
