Great Portland Estates Plc Executive Director Neil Thompson has resigned from the board and will exit the company Dec. 31.

The chairman of the group said that Thompson's departure came as a result of a lack of suitable roles that fit his career aspirations.

In a release, the group said its executive committee was strengthened by the appointment of Robin Matthews as investment director and Steven Mew as portfolio director. Matthews and Mew join Andrew White and Marc Wilder, respectively the group's development director and leasing director, in managing the property teams in the company.
