Goldman Sachs Group Inc. has hired Kurt Simon as a partner and vice chairman of its investment banking division, Reuters reported Aug. 10, citing an internal company memo.
Simon will also become a co-chairman in the New York-based global technology, media and telecom group of the company.
Simon had previously been global chairman of mergers and acquisitions at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
A Goldman Sachs spokesperson confirmed the contents of the memo, while a JPMorgan representative refused to comment, the news outlet reported.
